A whole new year.

Wow. It's 2015, and I don't know what to say. It's hard for me to look back on 2014 at times. So much happened, so much changed, leaving me unsure what 2015 is going to be. I'm pushing the door to this year open with a shaky hand, a wavering step.

The big questions questions I have for life right now remain unanswered. However, the little things are easier. I know that I am going to paint more, write more, read more, and grow more. The journey has already begun. My desk has been incessantly stained with paint, dirty brushes, and half-finished sketches. This recent watercolor I finished makes me happy, though I generally apply to the former, not the latter words.

Happy New Year, dears! Any fun resolutions to share?

    1. And I wish the same to you, dearest Sarah! It was rather sad that they don't allow fireworks in Texas, but our memories from past years helped to sustain me through this change. Love you!

  7. Ahhhh, I want a copy! I love it. You're an artist, girl. "I'm pushing the door to this year open with a shaky hand, a wavering step." I can so relate to that, so well spoken. There's so many uncertainties that can make me so nervous sometimes. Now I'm just trying to keep myself focused on trusting in Him this year and just...letting go, breathing and enjoying the now. I would love to have you guest post on my blog some time about your art if you would like to!

    1. Katie, you've no idea how much your words mean to me! I really hope to someday sell prints, so thank you, thank you! And yes, I definitely hope to trust in Him and not depend on myself so much in 2015, as well. It's an ongoing lesson. And I'll email you about guest posting! Sounds fun. ;)
